Meeting Agenda

Approve Minutes:

IP review update

  • GeoGig just one CQ to go

  • GeoTrellis just 3 CQ's to go

  • There are only 22 CQ's outstanding across all of LocationTech, and a solid plan for them.

  • Discussed release schedule after GeoGig & GeoTrellis do releases

  • The IP revision has been communicated publicly and, assuming approved by the Eclipse Foundation board, will be implemented as soon as possible:

FedGeoDay

  • October 13th at Red Cross in D.C.

  • The call for proposals has been announced, deadline is August 5th

  • 6 sponsors have signed, more anticipated

Tour

  • Thea is working on adding the cities/dates/etc to the Tour site

  • 6 sponsors have signed, more coming (thank you!)

  • We anticipate 15+ events and 1500+ people this year, which would make it the biggest Tour yet.

  • East Coast sites, SF, Portland in the works.

  • Look for list shortly at tour.locationtech.org/2016

CalGIS

  • Discussed plan for a 4 day conference in the SF Bay area. Content will be user-focused, open to hybrid and proprietary, and co-branded with a new brand, as we discussed in Raleigh.

  • Interestingly, the typical sponsors of CalGIS only overlap slightly with the typical sponsors for FOSS4G NA

  • Discussed CalGIS team ideas.
