Announcing the LocationTech Tour 2014
September 25, 2014 - LocationTech is a collaborative working group building an industry platform of quality open source location aware technologies.
The LocationTech Tour is a federated series of global events demonstrating and discussing new technologies and concepts related to open source geospatial software and open data.
The inaugural Tour in 2013 comprised of 6 events with 723 people participating.
The 2014 Tour builds upon that great success and has grown to include over 16 events and many more people around the world. Participating Cities include Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Portland, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Victoria, Sydney, Hamburg, Madrid, Toulouse, Geneva, and more. As of the time of this announcement, 2014 registrations have already exceeded 580 people.
There are opportunities to speak, sponsor, and attendance to most of the events is free. Join us to learn and network with industry experts in a fun and friendly collaborative atmosphere with plenty of camaraderie. Tour events are open and welcoming to all comers from first time newcomers to grizzled veterans.
